Patrick Bamford’s season at Leeds has been full of inconsistencies.
The former Middlesbrough man notched four goals in his first five outings of the campaign before enduring a run that failed to see him net in ten consecutive matches.
However, in recent weeks the 26-year-old has looked a little more confident. Granted the opportunity to slot the ball home from 12 yards against Blackburn two weeks ago, he duly obliged.
It was Bamford’s fifth goal of the campaign but two weeks later he was scoring in a successive match. The striker struck the post in the first half against Luton and consequently, his inability to take his chances was slammed by Leeds supporters at half time.

One fan compared him to Steve Morrison while another branded him a clown for his showing in the first 45 minutes. Another called his play overrated as a certain section of the Elland Road fanbase took no prisoners.
Criticism has felt vindicated for Bamford at times but he hit back and silenced his doubters in the second half.
The forward opened the scoring as he took the ball in his stride from Ben White before driving it past the goalkeeper for his sixth of the term. But he then won the game for Leeds with some late heroics on 90 minutes, adding his second of the game.
Here was the best of the discussion before he scored on Saturday afternoon.
