Manchester United reportedly passed up the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund's Serhou Guirassy under former boss Erik ten Hag.

According to The Athletic, Dortmund forward Guirassy was an option for Ten Hag's United in January 2024 but the club decided a £17.5 million release clause was too much for the then 27-year-old when he was at Stuttgart.

United have struggled for goals in recent years, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee leading the club's feeble attack this season. Guirassy went on to join Dortmund later in 2024 after scoring 30 goals for Stuttgart, and this season he has 28 goals in 40 matches. It may have been a case of what might have been for United.
